This Is My Story.

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, thirty-two year old entrepreneur, motivator, and speaker.

After realizing that some of my friends had no knowledge of how loans or investments worked, I thought it would be cool that I taught them what I knew so that they wouldn’t get taken advantage of. Soon after, I realized my community needed this knowledge as well.

I graduated from Southern Illinois Univ. Carbondale with a BS in Finance and from Colorado Technical Univ. with a MBA in Finance.

Today, when I’m not creating on the internet, I speak at conferences/churches and give lectures to high school/university students nationwide, on the topics of investing, living vs. existing, foresight > hindsight and the importance of helping others in our community.

2013: The Year It Happened.

I hated my job with every inch of my soul. It began to take a toll on the energy that I gave to others, more importantly the energy I brought home to my wife and children. I knew the value of my life was more than existing in a 9 to 5, barely seeing my family and letting my dreams die. I knew I had too much to give, too much talent, but the problem was I was the only one who could see this. There are two important days of your life. The 1st is the day you are born, the 2nd is the day you find out why. In 2013, I decided to find my “why”.

My Failures. My Process.

I’ve had businesses in the past. Some were profitable, but didn’t survive. Each business had one common mistake, I was chasing money. Business is about doing the right thing for people, profit is a symptom of that. Through my process, I realized that my dream had to help others, not just myself. I knew that Urban Money had to be completely different from anything else.
